What's a Play?

A Play works signal-first: Recepto tracks a buying moment across the public web, filters everyone showing it through your ICP, identifies the decision-maker behind it, and puts the account and the person on your team's desk — with a reason to reach out today.

  1. Buying moment on the public web 01
  2. Filtered through your ICP 02
  3. Decision-maker identified 03
  4. On your desk, with a reason to reach out today

Pick your plays from the 60+ library — funding, hiring, tech adoption, competitor moves, social intent — or define custom plays on Enterprise. Growth runs 3 plays at a time, Professional 10, Enterprise all of them.

How credits work

Plays show you who is moving. Credits pay only for what surfaces — one is spent when a lead clears all three steps below, and quiet accounts cost you nothing.

  1. Live buying signal 01
  2. Matches your ICP 02
  3. Named decision maker 03
  4. 3 credits

Credits last 3 months. Phone numbers cost half a credit, only on the leads you choose to dial. You never pay for raw signals, anonymous traffic, or companies outside your ICP.

Both together

Accounts that keep firing signals in PlayList get promoted into WatchList — the wide net feeds the deep dive.

Frequently asked questions

How does the pricing work?
Recepto sells two products, and you can buy either or both. PlayList is priced on the plays you run, plus credits when an account surfaces. There are three plans: Growth ($1,199 a quarter, 3 plays, 400 credits a month), Professional ($2,999 a quarter, 10 plays, 1,000 credits a month) and Enterprise ($24,999 a year, all 60+ plays plus custom plays, no meter on credits). Each tier multiplies your lead capacity while the credit rate stays the same, so your cost per lead never rises as you grow. WatchList is priced per named account. You pick one of four settings, signal depth × enrichment depth, starting at 30 accounts on a one-quarter commitment. Professional and Enterprise PlayList plans include WatchList for 10 and 30 accounts respectively at no extra cost. There are no setup fees and no hidden charges on either product.
What is the difference between PlayList and WatchList?
PlayList casts the net wide. It runs your chosen plays across your entire addressable market, filters everyone showing a signal through your ICP, and hands you a ranked feed of accounts worth putting in the funnel. It is wide rather than exhaustive and it fills the funnel. WatchList goes deep on the accounts you name. Every one of them is tracked exhaustively, with signals mapped to your offerings, the people in the org, your relationships, their tech stack, vendors and competitor interactions. It tells you which of your named accounts is hot, what to pitch, and how to get in: it speeds the funnel up. The optimizations and methods used in PlayList are different from the exhaustive flows that we use in WatchList. Used together, accounts that keep firing signals in PlayList get promoted into WatchList.
Which one should I start with?
If your problem is not enough qualified accounts entering the funnel, start with PlayList. If you already know exactly which accounts you want to win and the problem is timing and access, start with WatchList. If you are not sure, tell us what you sell and who you sell to. We will tell you which signals apply, which product should come first, and how much pipeline that realistically produces.
What is the minimum commitment?
Growth and Professional are billed quarterly, with a one-quarter minimum. Enterprise is billed annually. WatchList starts at 30 accounts on a one-quarter commitment. Plays get sharper over their first few weeks as they learn your ICP, which is why the shortest term is a quarter rather than a month.
Is there a free trial or pilot?
There is no free trial. Instead, every plan comes with a 7-day, no-questions-asked refund window. In PlayList, your first intent-matched leads typically land within 24 hours of activating a play, matched to your ICP with named decision makers, so you see real output well before the window closes. Growth and Professional are designed as pilot plans: run one quarter, get to ROI, then scale what is working. In WatchList, the moment you share your named accounts, it takes us a couple of days to do an in-depth run on your accounts, after which you can track them yourself on an ongoing basis.
Do you have a refund policy?
Yes. Cancel within the first 7 days of any plan and you get a full refund, no questions asked. After that, the plan runs for its billing period.
What is a Play?
A Play is any signal, event or trigger you want to track: a funding round, a sales leader hired, a competitor cutting staff, a tech tool adopted, a founder asking LinkedIn for vendors. You choose from a library of 60+ signals across six categories (community and social, organizational change, tech and product, market and media, competitive intelligence, events and engagement), or define custom plays on Enterprise. In PlayList, Growth runs 3 plays at a time, Professional runs 10, Enterprise all of them. You can create and edit plays yourself at any time, including keywords, geographies, ICP filters and thresholds, and the change takes effect on the next signal harvest. In WatchList, the Plays are orchestrated by us and there can be hundreds of Plays and Sub-Plays that we run on your named accounts mapped closely to your offerings. Here we start with the accounts that are important to you, track every possible signal there is to track, and give you that 10% edge in closing them quickly.
What is a credit, and when is it deducted?
Credits are what you spend to receive leads in the PlayList offering. Plays show you who is moving; credits pay only for what surfaces. A credit is spent only when a lead clears three bars: a live buying signal, a match to your ICP, and a named decision maker delivered to your feed. Quiet accounts cost nothing. You never pay for raw signals, anonymous traffic or companies outside your ICP. Credits are also used to enrich phone numbers at the moment. It is an optional feature that you can use whenever you want verified public phone numbers of your prospects and accounts.
How much does each lead cost?
Every lead on a metered PlayList plan costs 3 credits, regardless of plan, play or score. On Enterprise the meter is off entirely. That works out to up to 133 leads a month on Growth (400 credits) and up to 333 a month on Professional (1,000 credits). Phone numbers are the only add-on: half a credit each, on request, only for the leads you choose to dial.
What does a credit cost?
Your plan's credits are included in the plan price. If you run out in a good month, top up without changing plans: $1.10 a credit on Growth (up to one extra month's worth) and $1.00 a credit on Professional (up to two months' worth). Enterprise has no meter, so there is nothing to top up. If you find yourself topping up every month, a higher tier will usually serve you better.
Why do I get 3× credits in month one?
In the PlayList plans, your first month comes with 2× bonus experimental credits on top of your normal allowance: +800 on Growth, +2,000 on Professional. Use them to try more plays, test different geographies and ICP definitions, and find what works before settling into a routine.
Do credits carry over?
Yes. Credits stay valid for 3 months from the date they are issued, so a slow month never means wasted spend. On Professional and Enterprise, the whole billing period's credits are loaded on day one rather than dripped out monthly, so you can front-load a quarter around a launch, an event or an end-of-quarter push.
How do I buy more credits, and see what I have used?
To buy more, go to Settings › Billing Details › Add-on Credits. To see usage, go to Settings › Credits Usage.
Can I run custom plays or add my own sources?
On Growth and Professional you pick from the 60+ library and tune each play's variables yourself. Enterprise adds custom plays and custom sources built by Recepto's GTM engineers for your motion. On WatchList, the Max signals setting includes custom play implementations, and Max enrichment lets you add new custom signal sources.
What information comes with a lead?
Every lead arrives with the signal that surfaced it, an intent score, a short summary of why it was created, and tags for size, industry, funding stage and geography. It also comes with named decision makers: up to 3 on Growth, 5 on Professional and 10 on Enterprise, each with a verified email address and LinkedIn profile. Phone numbers are available on request for half a credit. On Professional and Enterprise, marking a lead as good enriches it further with direct connections from your team into the account, and Enterprise adds the warmest mutual connects, ranked. An activity log tracks every interaction with the lead.
How do I reach out to a lead?
Outreach is built into every plan and runs from inside Recepto. You connect your own inboxes and LinkedIn profiles (5 of each on Growth, unlimited on Professional and Enterprise) and reach out by email, LinkedIn profile view, connect request, direct message or post comment, and call tasks. Enterprise adds WhatsApp. Write manually for your highest-value accounts, or use templates: yours, or drafted by Recepto with AI intent variables so every message cites the signal. Sequences can branch on replies, wait, retry and run across channels in any order, with unlimited depth on every plan. From Professional up, sequences can fire automatically the moment a lead lands, with each play running its own outreach so the message always matches the signal. The system learns from your edits and from which messages earn replies.
Can Recepto use signals from my own communities or my own data?
Yes. Connect the Slack workspaces and WhatsApp groups outside your company that you already belong to (industry communities, founder networks, partner and customer channels) and any buying signal raised inside them lands in your feed as a lead. Slack is included on Growth and Professional; Enterprise adds WhatsApp. These are typically the highest-converting leads in the system. We never connect to your own company's internal Slack. On request, we can also blend your first-party signals (website visits, product usage, CRM events) with the 60+ third-party signals so you get one picture of who is in-market for you.
Does Recepto integrate with my CRM?
Yes, with select CRMs on every plan, so leads flow straight into your existing pipeline stages, sequences and reports. Check with us in your first week that yours is on the supported list. You can export leads, contacts and signal history at any time on any plan.
What do you track in the first quarter?
Four things, in order: 1) Quality of the plays and ICP definition 2) Quality of the leads the plays create 3) The decision makers the system identifies for each lead 4) Outreach strategy and copy across channels Each loop takes about 30 to 60 days to tune. Once all four are set, scaling is a matter of how many leads your team can absorb, which is when most customers move to Enterprise or add WatchList.
How is WatchList priced?
Per account you name. You choose one of four settings, signal depth × enrichment depth: Base or Max on signals, Base or Max on enrichment. The minimum is 30 accounts on a one-quarter commitment. Seats are unlimited, and export, multi-channel outreach, daily updates and hands-on play tuning are always included. Add-ons include extra customer offerings (if you sell several products or have multiple offerings), phone-number enrichment, first- and second-party signal fusion, custom sources, and weekly, fortnightly or monthly update cadences. Get in touch at sales@recepto.ai for commercials; we will put the list together with you.
What is the difference between Base and Max?
Signals tell you what, where, why and when. Enrichment tells you who and how. Signals · Base: any 20 plays from the 60+ library, orchestrated by Recepto. Signals · Max: all 60+ plays run daily, plus custom plays built for your motion and a model trained on your own wins. Enrichment · Base: account score and signal brief, up to 3 decision makers with email and LinkedIn, company brief, tags for size, location, funding stage and industry. Enrichment · Max: everything in Base plus a full org map across roles, functions and locations, warm connects and direct org-to-org connections, tech stack with confidence levels, person-level public signals, a customised company brief, and the ability to add custom signal sources.
Is WatchList included with PlayList?
Professional includes WatchList for 10 accounts and Enterprise for 30, both at Base signals and Base enrichment, at no extra cost. Growth does not include WatchList. You can add more accounts or move up to Max signals or Max enrichment at any time.
How do accounts move from PlayList into WatchList?
Three ways: promote accounts yourself when they keep firing signals, let Recepto suggest the ones worth watching, or set rules that promote automatically. Outreach runs from either product, so you are never forced to buy both.
How does WatchList scoring work?
Every account carries an intent score from 0 to 100, built bottom-up from the signals it has fired. The score indicates the strength of the signal and how urgently a human should act. Accounts are then plotted against the depth of your relationship. Hot and deep means strike now: high intent and you have a way in. Hot but shallow means high intent with no relationship, so use the org map and warm connects. Deep but cold means nurture until signals fire. Shallow and cold means monitor until the next refresh.
How quickly will I see leads?
Your first leads land within a day of activating your first play. Plays get sharper over the following weeks as they learn your ICP and your feedback, which is why the first quarter is treated as a tuning period.
